Reminds me of yesterday when Syl & I moved up the couch to our apartment on the 4th floor. Only difference is that we use “Push, push” LOL

-3 hours later, plus another 3 hours and several steps and lift trips-

Hurray!!!!!

My patience started to run out. All 4 new PMs have been given more than 1 project, while me.. still zero. If I start compare, I started to get panic attack. Psyched. I reasoned with myself that it is a good break for me, and that I could use the time and energy to concentrate on other stuff like my moving and settling in. I just don’t get it… Hope my waiting will be a fruitful one. Fingers crossed.

I’ve met the landlord at the apartment after work today, and the apartment is almost empty. I started to see our stuff in the place. I can’t wait to move into the apartment and start a normal living. I mean this aparthotel is nice. But it is temporary. Everything is still in the suitcases.
At work today, less tense and I managed to leash the fun-side of me with the other members. The person who everyone’s scared of and kind of holding us back is not in today. One part of me is kind of disappointed that I didn’t get the recognition but at the same time I’m kind of relief that there is no stress and work pressure. I would rather take my time slowly, rather than climbing the ladder too fast. It allows me to take some times to settle myself in the new place. I think I’m going to go the cinema tomorrow after work. What say you? hear hear!

OK so I went back to Nancy to be with the love of my life, my valentine hehehe
I cooked Escalope de veau for dinner…As I mentioned in my kitchen blog, I missed cooking (I also missed the whole shopping for ingredients too!). I went to my usual butcher at the market, happy to see the butcher and everything at the market.
As I was cooking, the usual aroma fill in the kitchen.. ahh smell of home, feeding my man.
Also had lunch earlier with some friends too.
I had a blast Valentine’s day. With the current circumstances, I think I had a very meaningful Valentine’s day this year - joy and happiness with loved one and friends.

Yeah.. third time was a charm! Well, at least I managed to get a number and go to the counter. But then I still cannot get the damm register number! They want medical certificate and casier judiciaire from france. arrggh!! this admin thing is killing me.
So here I am 1 week in Belgium, and things advance so slowly. Until now, I’ve done my medical exam and the result could be back on Monday. I’ve got an apartment, but still has not sign the lease yet. The owner is busy, as far as I know, he is trying to find a date that suits everyone. Bleh! My casier judiciaire is in process, it will take 3-5 days for it to arrive by snail mail.
Problem is, I’m living in Brussels, and I’ve done my admin in Brussels town hall. Everything so far I use this address. Then my soon-to-be apartment is in Ixelles. That would mean my mornings of queuing up was useless. Damm.. Frankly, it’s tiring.
At work, I’ve wasted my time doing nothing, tho I made it look like I’m reading the SOPs. Then today (friday) at 5pm, they asked me to do something. Start work at 5pm friday.. I should get ready to go home that time! Anyway, I take it as a bless and time to rewind from my hectic worklife before. Imagine having to do the CTP, even on weekend. ahh.. Blissss..
Tomorrow, we will visit the apartment. The girl is so nice to let us come.

Day 2 just finished. OK So I still have not my belgian registry number! After day 1, I was already 15 mins late. And so today I went earlier as they said must come early. At 8am I already do the queue, and my god! long queue already. After almost an hour of queue, I arrive at the counter and the girl said the time slot for opening a new dossier has finished! She gave me an appointment on 13th of february.. wadehel!! She said if I want to have it on the same day must come earlier earlier. I asked how early because I thought 8 is early already. She said try 7am.. wtf! Gosh I hate administratives!
I go back to my office huhuhuh
So hope for better day tomorrow. I got all the papers I could possibly think of.

We’ll see tomorrow. I’m just tired with all this thing! arrgghh

On the bright side, i had typical belgian lunch and dinner today hehehehe

That’s right. I’m at the destination already. We got the apartment hotel key yesterday and today I’m alone huhuhuhu…
Although it is Sunday, but I managed to visit 2 nice apartments. Both are nice but then available on 15th march. I don’t think I want to spend money on another 1 month here at the apartment hotel. I hope to visit more apartments in the next 1-2 days. Really need to seal the deal ASAP! There are a lot of competition around this area for apartment. So I better move fast. Even those which are available on 15th March, there are a lot of potential prospects visiting it.
I would really like to get apartment new the etang (lake?) because it is nice place and not far from my work place.
Speaking of work place, I will start new job tomorrow!! uhuhuhu I hope that all goes well. I don’t want to be on lots of pressure. With the apartment and being here alone, adding more pressure is not want I’m looking for.
So far I like the area. I know where to groceries, shopping area (very important!!).

Ahh.. time to write up something on my departure.
Well, the final week I’m at work in Nancy was a great one, though lotsa stuff to do. Did the knowledge transfer, and by mid-week, I just let everything go. It’s kinda sad to leave my job and friends, but then one gotta move on. I remember that I wrote something in my old blog about leaving ecafe and start a new job. Somehow I could not find the way to the old blog. Hmmm… But I remember having to leave people I know, the ecafe clients and the usual clients. As I expected, I made new contacts and got to know new clients. So for this new job, I wish to get to know more new clients, I know that would be the case because that is the nature of the job. I hope that I have my mojo at the new place.
Thursday, we had my pot de depart. The night before that I baked banana cake, chocolate cake and yoghurt cake. In addtion, I also made 20 something crepes. All gone as fast as lightning. I’m happy I hope I could still make cakes and my new colleagues like cakes! hahaha
The highlight of the pot is the presents! I received Nintendo DS Lite - Pink!! On top of that great stuff from The Body Shop. I just love my ex-colleagues hahahahaha Oh and for lunch we had great lunch at La Fantasia.. couscous and tajine.. yum!!!
After work, we played bowling and then dinner… It was great! I didn’t know I had big effect amongst my colleagues.

Then on Friday, I had Malaysian pot. There are a lot of other malaysians who will move from Nancy. We dine at Djurdjura restaurant - couscous and tajine.. yum (again hahaha).

All in all it was a good farewell time.

I’ve sent my byebye email on Friday morning. I think it is a beautiful email and I only wrote it on the same morning! hehehehe
