Actually, I don’t have anything special to ramble about… The Merdeka day that I always remember is watching the national parade on tv, and in the afternoon/evening we went out to checkout any local fair that’s going on at the local hall.
As for the parades (national and local state/district levels), the participants are those of civil servants, students, armed forces, some private department…
My usual comment when watching these parades is… “wow, must be hot in that costume” hehehe
At night, there would be concerts. I am not a big fan of free concerts. Especially when they involve the whole town/city.
But this is what it looked like this year at KL…
During weekdays, at work, all readings need to be processed. From emails, to company SOP, to management report.
So on weekends, or whenever I wish to just read and no brain churning is needed, I turn to one of these books. hehehe…
…at least I managed to get a lot of things done by Wednesday. Thursday and today was just wrapping up some stuff.
A dear colleague of mine announced that he will be quitting soon. He said that he has no plan yet, but he will take his time to think of his future endeavor. This is the person who told me early this year that he is fine with his current work and not looking for career change.
I guess anything can happen these days.
I am not happy with some people’s behavior, but other than that, I have a lot of things I would like to do within my job scope. Continous improvement.
I’m asking myself.. how many people in this world who are happy when they make their way to work? I don’t really hate to go to work, but I’m not overjoy by it either. However, it is important to have good feeling/happy feeling.
Like in Harry Potter, in order to conjure his Patronus, he needs to think of the happy moment. Which in his case, the thought of his parents and also the first time he caught the Quidditch’s Snitch.
In terms of my work, I think I have never been so excited to wake up to go to work when I was in Bulgaria for the first time last year. I’m so excited in the morning, to meet new people and to train them on my job. Each time I’m thinking of it, I can feel the tingly feeling and put smile on my face
haih.. have to take the “ong” by writing entry on this date.
It’s already end of the day and in some countries, it’s already August 9th…
Anyway, better late than never (where did I see this phrase before hmm)
Unfortunately, at work, today is like shitty day as usual, but even shittier coz it’s not yet 10a.m and I got to fix other ppl’s shit (whoa.. how many shit can you cramp in one sentence?)
It’s like I was already imagining myself yelling out and then left the building! Yup! It’s that bad. Mind you, in a normal day I am not a morning person. Then added to the cleaning shit thing in the morning.. realllyyy not my thang!
But luckily I got everything under control and people tend to learn not to mess with me when my ears start moving ‘nyit nyit’.
Also, lucky that it’s then time for lunch. I’m so happy and feel liberated to walk out the door.
(If any of my colleagues read this, please remember, Shaz…Morning.. Big NO NO)
So it’s kinda sucks to have shitty day on such auspicious date.
On the other hand, there are things which turned out to be good.
I was appreciated by some parties, towards the end of the day.
Anyway….
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SOFIA!
(and BELATED BIRTHDAY TO HILMI!)
huhuhu…
I was just browing thru youtube and found this.
Although this is not their recent concert, but still they proved to be one of the old boybands still alive and can sing.
They were touring Europe in May this year and now looks like they are touring in US huhuhu.. Nyesal nyesal tak pegi aritu..
This one is their 2008 concert in Estonia… lawaks!
Living life.. yeah you got that right, my friend! heheh
My brother beats me in putting Coldplay latest and giving it a review. On my defence, I was on vacation hehehe…
I got the whole album in my iPhone before going off on vacation, and only get to listen to it back to back when I’m back this week. When we are on vacation, who needs motivational musics eh?
Anywho… here’s what I thought of Coldplay latest Viva la vida.. f**king fantastic!!!
In Malay, I would say “sedap cam nak makan” kekeke literally translated “tasty like I wanna eat (it)”
My brother mentioned Viva la vida is a song which motivates him (to play tennis and what not kekeke)… I couldn’t agree more with him. Getting back to (hectic) work after 3 weeks of serenite far from brainless wits, kinda hard for me. I have been listening to this album every day in the office. I didn’t see the time flies, got to keep my stress level low and most of all, getting works done!
Other than the arrangement of music in this song, I think the lyric in Viva la vida also helps where it speaks of being at the top of everything despite of obstacles. I watched the videos in youtube, and whoaaa.. look at the drummer! only the big drums and a bell!!! So cool!
I already say their vidclip of first single Violet Hill, and already the chorus is catchy. But then I was put off by the video clip. I don’t like the part where Chris magnifies his teeth. They could do better for the video I think.
In anyway, I always like Coldplay’s sense of music and the way Chris’s sings. I am already a big fan of Speed of Sound and Fix You (and these songs are in Singstar!! woohoo)
Remember I told you that the iced coffee drink I bought every morning was 3 cents more than before?
Guess what.. 3 weeks later, back from vacations and in a need to have caffeine in the morning, I was surprised to see that the price is up by 10 cents more!! It was 1.30euro, then 1.33, now 1.43 euros huhuhu
No comment. It’s still cheaper than the takeaway cuppucino from the boulangerie… huhuhu
Yup.. am back in France after 3 weeks vacation!
Tomorrow is back to work day.. huhuhu Kinda hard. I can still remember the countdown before vacation.. ahh good ol days. We all wish that we could rewind time eh?
We had a great vacation. Never enough though.. Two years and a lot of things has changed in Malaysia!!
I’m sorry if I didn’t have time to meet up with some of my friends in Malaysia. I didn’t see the time and it flies so fast…
Now, I’m looking forward for vacation 2010…till then, gotta work work work…arrgghhh
Recently, the whole world talks about the increase of fuel price. Somehow the effects (cut to the story and theory short), all other goods (and services) prices are going up as well.
I don’t give a rat ass about the increase of fuel. I’ve bought my flight tickets for my vacations, and I walk to work.
However, this morning, I stopped at my usual supermarket on the way to the office. This is the only place that I know in town that sell iced coffee with milk. Anyway, I prepared my usual 1,30 euro. But the guy at the cashier said that the price to pay is 1,33 euro.
I said ‘Wot?!’ (Quoi?! in french la)..
He said (translated), well everything goes up nowadays and I have to increase the price.
Being a person who understands the ripple effect of the hike of fuel price, said AND and the same time as the guy… ‘C’est la vie’.
So I left the shop with 3 cents less today and day to come..
